A planning application has been submitted for up to 49 houses to be built on this small piece of land with exceptional biodiversity. It is part of a wildlife corridor, right next to a nature reserve, and very close to the river Wylye. The previous application was eventually withdrawn after much opposition.
Application reference PL/2026/03045 was submitted to Wiltshire Council on 8th June 2026. The consultation phase is open, and the deadline for comments is 10th July 2026.
You may have received a document from Backhouse offering a consultation, which is a red herring. Comments need to go to Wiltshire Council Planning department for them to be considered when a decision is made.
